We’re a rock band. And honestly, it feels a little awkward to write this. We made… a pop song. Yes, we don’t really understand how it happened either. Somewhere out there, an overdriven electro-dombra is quietly grieving, and the inner rocker inside each of us is whispering: “Are you serious?”
But the reality is this — times are changing, the algorithms are ruthless, and rock seems to have temporarily gone on a creative vacation.
So we decided to run an experiment. Our souls resisted, our hands kept reaching to add distortion and a double kick, but we held ourselves back.
In the end, the song “Jarai ma?” came out — as pop as it is humanly possible for people who have spent their whole lives playing rock.
To be honest: deep down we still wanted to make it three times louder.
Dear rockers and metalheads — we understand if you feel a little disappointed right now. We do too. But we promise: this is not a betrayal, it’s more like… a temporary deviation from course.
Still, we did the job well. The song turned out warm, melodic, and maybe even a bit too pleasant.
So give it a listen.
And we’ll quietly head back to rehearsal and turn the distortion back on.
The release is already available on all platforms.
