We’re a rock band. And honestly, it feels a little awkward to write this. We made… a pop song. Yes, we don’t really understand how it happened either. Somewhere out there, an overdriven electro-dombra is quietly grieving, and the inner rocker inside each of us is whispering: “Are you serious?”
World Literature Today (U.S.) magazine featured Aldaspan in a cultural essay about modern Kazakh music, noting the band’s use of electric dombra and its role in contemporary nomadic sound experiments — a non-platform mention in an international literary/cultural journal.
The American website www.nationalday.com , with 18 million users, identified Aldaspan as a key milestone for the national instrument dombra — the invention of the electric dombra.
Aldaspan entered the annals of the history of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the book by the Batyrkhan Shukenov Foundation, 2024.
